アニエスベー ギャラリー ブティックでは、9月19日(金)から11月2日(日)まで、写真家・小浪次郎による個展『I.D 1986』を開催します。
小浪はこれまで、自身の制作と並行して、多様なクリエイターやファッションブランドとの協働を重ねてきました。その活動において一貫しているのは、被写体と対峙した瞬間を鋭敏に捉える感受性であり、私写真であれファッションフォトであれ、作品には常に生の強度が刻み込まれています。
自らの指紋とも言えるタイトルを冠した本展『I.D 1986』では、初期の一枚から、ストリートで多くを学んだ東京での作品を経て、現在の拠点であり、国籍や人種の枠を超え人々が交わるニューヨークで近年撮影された作品まで、100点以上を紹介します。的確な技術と、その制約を凌駕する直感が生み出す写真群は、個々に強い存在感を放ちながらも、同時にひとつのインスタレーションとして構成されます。
会場では、本展と同タイトルの最新作品集『I.D 1986』や、アニエスベーとのコラボレーションによるアーティストTシャツも販売いたします。
アーティストステートメント
1986年から始まった私の道は後どれくらいだろうか。私という実態をこれから世に知らせる訳ではなく、1つ1つ見つけた欲望を見せること、その循環の中で生き続けるのだと感じ始めた。
写真を始めて、写真と向き合い始めた20歳位の時、雨の日に高円寺を友達と散歩していた。傘を差しながら公園で撮影したthe other sideのトレーナーを着た友達、その写真を現在見た時、過去の事でも新しく感じた。蘇る記憶はどこか一瞬の刹那として、身体に刻まれている。そんなことを思いながら何十年前の写真を選んでいる。写真の上には時系列は存在せず、一直線の時間が流れている訳ではない。今、私はその公園から遠く離れたother sideにいるが、その記憶は鮮明に残り、写真から得る情報以上に私の心に刻まれているものが明確にある。その尊さ、夢に出てきて欲しいと願うような。私はそんな初期衝動を呼び覚ますような感覚に期待している。そんな毎日に期待している。
私の指紋は私のものだけ。

1986年生まれ。写真家。活動初期より8年間、自身の父親を撮影し続け、絶妙な親子の距離感を記録した作品で2010年に富士フォトサロン新人賞を獲得するなど高い評価を得る。これまでに2013年『父をみる』、2014年『personal memory』、2015年『PARADAISE TOKYO』、2017年『GIMATAI』、2018年『Straigt,No chaser』、2018年『SCARS』、2021年『NAMEDARUMA』、2022年『黄色い太陽』、2024年『I.D 1986』などの写真集を刊行。 主な個展に2011年G/P FRONT LINE SHOW 『complex and more』(Spiral garden)、2012年『UK-curtain call』(KONICA MINOLTA Gallery)、2013年『Loolong at my father』(Fuji film salon)、2016年『GIMATAI』(Book Marc)、2018年『Straight,No chaser』(SALT AND PEPPER)、『SCARS』(common Gallery)、2021年『NAMEDARUMA』(The Plug Gallery)、2022年『黄色い太陽』(PARCO Gallery)、2023年『Searchlight』(SALT AND PEPPER)等、グループ展も多数行う。また数々のファッションブランドや雑誌、広告、アーティスト写真などを手がける。2016年より活動拠点をニューヨークに移す。『The New York Times』『Interview Magazine』『i-D Magazine』などで作品を発表しながら、自らの写真展や写真集を刊行している。

agnès b. galerie boutique is pleased to present I.D 1986, a solo exhibition by Jiro Konami, running from Friday 19 September to Sunday 2 November.
Throughout his career, Jiro has pursued his own artistic practice while also collaborating with a wide range of creators and fashion brands. What has remained constant throughout is his acute sensitivity in capturing the very moment of encounter with his subject. Whether in intimate, personal works or in fashion photography, his images are always imbued with a raw intensity that speaks directly to the viewer.
This exhibition, entitled I.D 1986—a title that may be regarded as his own fingerprint—presents more than one hundred works. These range from early photographs, through pieces created in Tokyo, where he learnt extensively from the streets, to his more recent works taken in New York, the city he now calls home, where people from different backgrounds, nationalities and ethnicities converge. The photographs, born from a precise command of technique coupled with an instinct that transcends its limitations, radiate a powerful presence individually, while at the same time coming together as a unified installation.
At the venue, the latest publication I.D 1986, which shares its title with the exhibition, will be available for purchase, together with a specially designed artist T-shirt created in collaboration with agnès b.
Artist Statement
How much further does the path I began in 1986 extend? It is not about revealing my existence to the world, but about showing each desire I discover, one by one, and continuing to live within that cycle.
When I first truly engaged with photography, around the age of twenty, I remember walking through Kōenji on a rainy day with a friend. I photographed him in a park, holding an umbrella and wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the words “the other side” across his back. Looking at that photograph now, it feels new, despite belonging to the past. The memories that resurface are etched into my body as fleeting moments—ephemeral, yet indelible. These reflections come to me as I select images from decades ago. Photography has no fixed chronology; time does not flow in a straight line. Today, I find myself far from that park, on the “other side.” Yet the memory remains vivid, carrying with it something far more deeply inscribed in my heart than what the photograph itself conveys. It is a kind of preciousness—something I wish might return in a dream. I look forward to sensations that awaken that first impulse, that primal spark. I look forward to days filled with such expectation.
My fingerprint belongs to me alone.
Artist Profile
Born in 1986, Jiro Konami is a photographer whose work has received critical acclaim since the early stages of his career. For eight years he photographed his father, documenting their subtle yet complex father–son relationship, a body of work that earned him the Fujifilm Photo Salon Newcomer’s Award in 2010. He has since published numerous photobooks, including Looking at my father (2013), personal memory (2014), PARADAISE TOKYO (2015), GIMATAI (2017), Straight, No Chaser (2018), SCARS (2018), NAMEDARUMA (2021), Yellow Sun (2022), and I.D 1986 (2024). His major solo exhibitions include complex and more (Spiral Garden, 2011), UK-curtain call (Konica Minolta Gallery, 2012), Looking at my father (Fujifilm Photo Salon, 2013), GIMATAI (Bookmarc, 2016), Straight, No Chaser (SALT AND PEPPER, 2018), SCARS (common Gallery, 2018), NAMEDARUMA (The Plug Gallery, 2021), Yellow Sun (PARCO Gallery, 2022), and Searchlight (SALT AND PEPPER, 2023), among many others, alongside numerous group exhibitions. In addition to his artistic practice, Jiro has worked extensively with fashion brands, magazines, advertising campaigns, and artist portraits. Since relocating to New York in 2016, he has continued to present his work internationally, publishing in The New York Times, Interview Magazine, and i-D Magazine, while also producing photobooks and holding solo exhibitions of his own.
