アニエスベーは「KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭 2026」に協賛し、アントン・コービンによる展示 『Presence』 をサポートします。

今年で第14回を迎えるKYOTOGRAPHIE 2026は、「EDGE」をテーマに掲げ、境界と変化の「あわい」に立つ写真の可能性と不確実性を探ります。本写真祭は、京都の重要文化財や寺院、伝統的な町家や趣きある近代建築などを舞台に開催されます。写真を通じた創造的なインスピレーションを長年にわたり育み続けてきたアニエスベーは、国内外の多くの写真家やプロジェクトを支援してきました。その活動の一環として、2014年より本写真祭を継続的にサポートしています。

アントン・コービンは、デペッシュ・モード、U2 、ローリング・ストーンズ、ゲルハルト・リヒター、アイ・ウェイウェイなど、世界的アーティストたちの姿を「永遠のイメージ」として写しとってきたことで広く知られています。彼が一貫して用いてきた独自のスタイル——スローシャッターによるモノクロ撮影——によって生み出されるコービンのポートレートは、被写体の繊細な動きやしぐさに宿る「身体性」を写し出しています。「完璧さよりも、不完全さの方がよほど「生」に近いと私は感じています」と、2015 年の『TIME』誌のインタビューで語っています。

2025年、彼は70歳の誕生日とアーティストとしての50年の節目を迎えました。KYOTOGRAPHIE 2026では、代表作からあまり知られていない作品まで幅広く紹介し、選集的回顧展ともいえるかたちで、コービンの半世紀にわたる独自のポートレート表現の歩みをたどります。


アントン・コービン

1955年生まれ。写真家、映画監督、映像作家。オランダのストレインという小さな町に生まれ、17歳のときに地元のバンドの撮影を始め、その後ロンドンへ移り、イギリスの音楽雑誌『NME（New Musical Express）』のスタッフ・フォトグラファーとして活動した。これまでにニルヴァーナ、U2、デペッシュ・モード、ジョイ・ディヴィジョンなど、多数のミュージシャンのミュージックビデオを80本以上監督している。

Now in its 14th edition, KYOTOGRAPHIE 2026 is an international photography festival themed “EDGE,” exploring the possibilities and uncertainties of photography as it stands at the threshold between boundaries and transformation. The festival unfolds across Kyoto’s important cultural sites, including historic landmarks, temples, and traditional machiya townhouses.Having long cultivated creative inspiration through photography, agnès b. has supported numerous photographers and projects both in Japan and internationally. As part of this ongoing commitment, it has also been a continuous supporter of the festival since 2014.

Anton Corbijn is best known for immortalising some of the world's greatest artists: Depeche Mode, U2, The Rolling Stones, Gerhard Richter and Ai Weiwei, to name a few. Shot in his distinct style - black-and-white with a slow shutter speed - Corbijn's portraits are visceral, embodying the subtle movements and gestures of his famous subjects. "I feel the imperfection is much closer to how life is than perfection," the artist said, in an interview with TIME magazine in 2015.

In 2025 the master photographer celebrated two anniversaries: his 70th birthday, and 50 years as an artist. This selective retrospective will bring together a range of both iconic and lesser-known images, tracing half a century of his striking portraiture practice.



Anton Corbijn

Anton Corbijn (b.1955) is a Dutch photographer, filmmaker, and video artist. Born in a small town called Strijen in the Netherlands, Corbijn began shooting local bands at the age of 17, before moving to London to work for NME magazine as a staff photographer.
He has directed over 80 music videos for a number of musicians, including Nirvana, U2, Depeche Mode, and Joy Division.
